CFexpress Type B Cards & Readers

Here you’ll find details of all the supported CFexpress cards and readers for the Nikon Z6 and Z7.

SanDisk Extreme Pro CFexpress Type B Memory Cards

CFexpress cards use a similar form factor to XQD but the cards are much faster at reading and writing with speeds of up to 1700MB/s and 1400MB/s.  A great alternative to XQD and for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras.

 

Sony CFexpress Type B Tough Memory Cards

The Sony CFexpress Type B Tough memory cards claim the same read and write speeds of up to 1700MB/s and 1400MB/s with the added “tough” features such as a reinforced physical design to withstand falls from up to 15′ and rigidity tested to 70N of force.

SanDisk Extreme Pro CFexpress Type B USB Adapter / Reader

If you want to transfer your images to your computer at the fastest possible speeds, then you are going to need an CFexpress card reader. The SanDisk Adapter is one of the best CFexpress card readers on the market offering USB 3.1 Gen2 speeds and works perfectly with the SanDisk Extreme Pro CFexpress memory cards.

The Sony Professional XQD G Series are one of the fastest XQD cards on the market. With a read speed of 440MB/s and a write speed of 400MB/s they are a great match for the Nikon Z6 or Z7.

Batteries & Battery Chargers for Nikon Z6 / Z7

Here you’ll find details of all the supported batteries and chargers for the Nikon Z6 and Z7.

Nikon EN-EL15b Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery

The Nikon EN-EL15b battery can be charged in-camera when used with the Nikon Z6 / Z7 or another camera that supports in-camera battery charging. It can also be charged with the MH-25a battery charger.

Nikon EN-EL15a Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery

The EN-EL15a is a rechargeable Li-ion battery that requires the MH-25a battery charger. It can not be charged in-camera like the Nikon EN-EL15b.

Nikon MB-N10 Battery Grip

The MB-N10 can hold up to two of the same EN-EL15b rechargeable Li-ion batteries used to power the Z 7 and Z 6. When the MB-N10 is used, approximately 610 stills can be captured with the Z 7, and approximately 570 stills can be captured with the Z 6. In addition, the total length of time movies can be recorded increases to approximately 155 minutes with both the Z 7 and Z6.

It features lights that indicate the charge level of the batteries inside, and a USB-C socket that allows the unit to act as a charger, providing you are using the latest EN-EL15b batteries. There’s also an a small recess for storing the camera’s battery compartment door, to prevent it being lost.

The MB-N10 is also a “hot swap” battery pack that continues to supply power even when one of the two batteries is removed, as long as the other is not exhausted.

Nikon EH-7P Charging AC Adapter

The EH-7P is a charging AC adapter that is used to charge the EN-EL15b rechargeable Lithium-ion battery while it is in the camera’s battery compartment and the camera is connected to the charger. The EH-7P cannot be used to charge an EN-EL15 or EN-EL15a Li-ion battery. Those batteries must use the MH-25a battery charger.

Nikon MH-25a Battery Charger

The MH-25a battery charger is designed for recharging Nikon EN-EL15/EN-EL15a/EN-EL15b Lithium-ion batteries.

Nikon EH-5d AC Adapter

The EH-5d is an AC Adapter that can be used to power the Z6 / Z7 from a wall outlet. It does requires the EP-5B Power Connector (see below).

Nikon EP-5B Power Supply Connector

The Nikon EP-5B Power Supply Connector requires the Nikon EH-5d AC Adapter to work. Simply insert the EP-5B connector into the Z6 / Z7 and then connect the EH-5d AC Adapter to power the camera continuously.
